Holy Year of St. Paul calls pilgrims to Rome
by Stefani Manowski

Father Thomas A. Kane, C.S.P., and Father Paul G. Robichaud, C.S.P., will lead a group of pilgrims to Rome during the Holy Year of St. Paul the Apostle declared by Pope Benedict XVI, and also during the Paulist Fathers’ 150th anniversary year.
This once-in-a-lifetime pilgrimage includes prayer at Tre Fontaine, the site where St. Paul was martyred, and celebrating the Eucharist at the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls, one of the four papal basilicas in Rome. Father Kane, a veteran pilgrimage leader, and Father Robichaud, Paulist historian and former pastor of Santa Susanna, the Paulist-run American church in Rome, will be excellent spiritual guides as we visit St. Peter’s Basilica and the Vatican Museum including the Sistine Chapel as well as places in Rome associated with Father Isaac T. Hecker, founder of the Paulists. Pilgrims will visit the Redemptorist House, where Father Hecker was dismissed from the order; the outside of his apartment in Rome and more.
The itinerary also includes attendance at the weekly general papal audience, subject to the Holy Father’s schedule.
Optional excursions to Florence, Pompeii or Assisi are available. Cash discounts and land-only packages offered.
