“The Thornless Rose”

June 22, 2021

St. Rosalia was a hermitess who lived from 1130 to c. 1170 in Sicily.

As our world addresses COVID-19 and its impact, the accounts of St. Rosalia’s intercession during plagues may give us hope––and inspire our prayers.

This short film about “the little saint” was narrated by Paulist Fr. Joe Ciccone, vice rector of St. Patrick’s Catholic American Parish in Rome.

The film was created by Emanuele Sesta and produced by our Media Office. We hope you enjoy it! (Don’t miss Fr. Joe’s prayer at the end.)
