Office of Paulist Archives

The Office of Paulist Archives collects, preserves, and makes available for research the official historical records of the Missionary Society of St. Paul the Apostle, the first community of Catholic priests founded in the United States. The collections span the 164-year history of the Paulist Fathers both in the United States and abroad. Records include: Paulist Foundations, Ministries, records of individual Paulists, and photographs.

The Office of Paulist Archives does not maintain or provide access to Sacramental Records. Please refer to the diocese/parish in which the Sacrament took place.

Research requests:

Please note that research requests are currently conducted online; there are no in-person research visits at this time.

There are service fees for high resolution scans of materials from the Archives collections. These fees go towards the maintenance of digitization software and equipment, so that we can continue provide this service to researchers. Please refer to the Permission to Publish Form & Service Fee form (PDF).
