Paulist Productions‘ new documentary “Baseball: Beyond Belief” is the subject of this special episode of Deacons Pod.

Based on the book “Baseball as a Road to God: Seeing Beyond the Game” by former New York University president John Sexton, the documentary explores how baseball and faith intertwine in powerful and surprising ways.

In the episode, Deacon Mike Hayes of the Paulist Deacon Affiliates speaks with Dr. Sexton, documentary director John Scheinfeld, and Paulist Fr. Tom Gibbons, president of Paulist Productions.

“Baseball: Beyond Belief” is scheduled to air nationally on television on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026, at 4 p.m. Eastern / 1 p.m. Pacific on Fox Sports 1.
