In this new video, we are pleased to share highlights from our “America 250 Pilgrimage in Support of Immigrants” on July 1, 2026, in New York City.
The pilgrimage, one of several Paulist activities to mark America’s 250th anniversary, began with Mass at Our Lady of Victory Church in NYC’s Financial District.
The pilgrims then walked through Lower Manhattan, past the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Shrine, to Castle Clinton in Battery Park. They prayed the Rosary and offered brief reflections at stops along the way.
The pilgrims then took a ferry to Liberty Island where the pilgrimage concluded with a prayer service.
Afterwards, a small group visited the Ellis Island and Wall of Honor, including Paulist Fr. Bruce Nieli and Shirley Onacilla, a longtime parishioner at our mother church, the Church of St. Paul the Apostle.
