The Catholic Media Association today announced that Paulist Fr. Dave Dwyer has been awarded the Gabriel Award for Personal Achievement.

Fr. Dave is director of our Busted Halo media ministry and host of “The Busted Halo Show” on SiriusXM The Catholic Channel.

Here is how the Catholic Media Association describes this recognition:

“This award goes to the person, who through their life and work, communicates the message of Jesus Christ with integrity and persistence. Their contribution to the media culture offers light amid darkness and hope in the midst of suffering. Through this recognition, colleagues acknowledge the awardee’s gifts and talents for proclaiming the Gospel in the world of communications.

“Candidates must be in the field for at least 10 years, made a significant contribution to Catholic communications media and consistently upheld the Church’s teachings, including Catholic social teaching.”

Paulist Fr. Eric Andrews, president of our missionary society, believes this is a well-deserved honor.

“In 2020, on radio and online, Fr. Dave led so many people throughout the pandemic and other calamities with grace, perseverance, and grit,” Fr. Eric said.
