In this installment of Psalm Sense, Paulist Fr. John Geaney expresses the pain he has felt watching news broadcasts about the death of Tyre Nichols in January in Memphis, TN, for which five police officers have been charged with second-degree murder.

He connects his reflection to Psalm 37.

Fr. Geaney served for eight years as pastor of St. Augustine Church in Memphis, TN. He lives today at the Paulist Center in Boston.
