Psalm Sense: Pain
by Fr. John Geaney, C.S.P.
October 31, 2022

In this installment of Psalm Sense, Paulist Fr. John Geaney urges us to raise our voices to God in prayer during pain and difficulty. He connects this to verses of Psalm 102:

“Oh, Lord, hear my prayer,
and let my cry come to you.
Do not hide your face from me
in the day of my distress.
Turn your ear towards me,
on the day that I call,
speedily answer me.”

A veteran Catholic communicator and pastor, Fr. Geaney lives today at the Paulist Center in Boston. He most recently served as rector of the Cathedral of St. Andrew in Grand Rapids, MI.
