Paulist Fr. John Geaney recently made his first trip to the movie theater in the year and a half since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. He saw “In The Heights.”

In this installment of Psalm Sense, Fr. Geany reflects on the movie’s message of “paciencia y fe” / “patience and faith.” In his reflection, he considers verses of  Psalm 117. (Note: This video was created prior to the outbreak of the Delta variant in the United States.)

A veteran Catholic communicator, Fr. Geaney lives at the Paulist Center in Boston. He most recently served as rector of the Cathedral of St. Andrew in Grand Rapids, MI.
