The devastating fires on the island of Maui in Hawaii in early August, 2023, are Paulist Fr. John Geaney’s. starting point in this installment of Psalm Sense. Fr. Geaney connects his reflection to verses of Psalm 62.

A veteran Catholic communicator and pastor, Fr. Geaney lives today at the Paulist Center in Boston. He is a past  rector of the Cathedral of St. Andrew in Grand Rapids, MI.
