Paulist Fr. Chris Lawton is a native of Wisconsin.

He earned his undergraduate degree at Harvard University where he studied biochemical sciences.

He then earned his medical degree at Columbia University in New York City.

During his years in New York, he was a resident at New York Presbyterian Hospital and a fellow at Mt. Sinai Hospital.

He then returned to the Milwaukee area where he was an attending physician and assistant professor of medicine in palliative care at the Medical College of Wisconsin.

He met the Paulist Fathers during his years as a parishioner and ministry team member at our mother church, the Church of St. Paul the Apostle in New York City.

In his first priestly assignment, he is serving as an associate pastor of the Church of St. Paul the Apostle.
