Paulist Fr. Ruben Patiño recently completed a distinguished, 15-year tenure as pastor of St. Paul the Apostle Church in Horseshoe Bay, TX.

As a senior priest, he will continue to reside at the parish in Horseshoe Bay.

Fr. Ruben hails from South Houston, TX. He entered the Paulist novitiate in 1974 and was ordained a priest on May 19, 1979.

The first five years of his priesthood were spent at Good Shepherd Church in the Inwood neighborhood of New York City.

Fr. Ruben then spent four years on the formation team at the Paulist seminary in Washington, D.C.

He was a Catholic campus minister from 1989 to 2004, serving as an associate pastor at Newman Hall - Holy Spirit Parish in Berkeley, CA; pastor of St. Mark's University Parish in Santa Barbara, CA; and director of the University Catholic Center in Austin, TX.

From 2005 to 2009, he served at the Paulist Center in Boston before becoming pastor of St. Paul the Apostle Church in Horseshoe Bay, TX, in September, 2009.
